Hi I’m Alana & both my children were introduced to the world applying hypnobirthings calm techniques. Having completed my Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner & Childbirth Educator Training during my second pregnancy, I cannot wait to teach and share this amazing course from a place of true authenticity.
Combining ancient wisdom with modern science is something that has always interested me and I feel compelled to spread and share true wisdom when I hear it. Through my yoga teachings I have done just this, after returning from India where I first gained knowledge to teach Yoga, I journeyed to Byron Bay when pregnant with my daughter to become a fully certified Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT). Since then I have also been certified in kids yoga and irest yoga Nidra meditation techniques.
I found working with woman whilst they were pregnant was a desire unearthed within me and I was pulled to grow and share more after my first empowered birth experience.
I run the Positive Birth Program in my community in Weipa, Cape York and also on the Atherton Tablelands & Cairns Far North Queensland.
I believe spreading this fantastic knowledge, to create the calmest environment during this incredible introduction to the world, has the power to transform future generations.

Alana’s prenatal classes were a fantastic way of preparing for pregnancy and birth. I looked forward to every class, knowing that as soon as you walk through the door you relax! I was always greeted with a massive smile, feeling like I’d known Alana for years rather than 5 mins! I found that it was a great space to talk about pregnancy and birthing with other mothers, some being first timers or multiple births. Everyone shared their stories, how they were going from week to week- including all the REAL details of pregnancy and birthing that nobody tells you about! The classes taught me so much, not only about birthing, but about the changes in my body and how to care for my body with the yoga practice & preparation.
