Remember your baby isn’t lung breathing yet so the baby is still breathing through this oxygenated cord. If baby’s head is presenting with the cord around it the mama can even do this herself or even ask the care provider to slowly untangle the cord so that the baby can be able to come up to the mama’s chest.

Let's talk Nuchal Cords...

It can feel alarming🚨when the umbilical cord is wrapped around baby's neck, but in the majority of cases it's a pretty harmless occurrence.
•
Babies 🚼 receive all the oxygen🫁 they need in utero from the umbilical cord which is protected by something called Wharton's Jelly. The jelly surrounds the vessel and arteries within the cord preventing compression and allowing for continuous blood🩸 flow.
•
If the cord is wrapped tightly or more than once, a skilled provider👩🏾‍⚕️ can help to further prevent compression by guiding baby's head👶🏼 as the rest of baby's body emerges during childbirth.

At the same time, other parts of her brain are 'wired' which prime her to be alert and connect with the baby.
Pregnancy is extremely energy-dependent and can take nutrients from other parts of the mother's body. A growing baby then takes all that it requires from the mother.

You can often see the signs of depletion in the teeth of the mother..

It’s hard to believe that one practice can bring It’s hard to believe that one practice can bring so many benefits. But the raw truth is it can!
